(longways duple)

A. First corners cast left (man down, woman up) around neighbors, pass by left shoulder in the center, cast right around partner to end in each other's place
A. Second corners do similar: cast right, pass right shoulder, cast left around
neighbor (end with all progressed and improper)
B. All fall back and cross to proper side, facing neighbor;
with neighbor, back to back; partners, back to back
B. Four changes of rights and lefts (with hands), starting with partner;
partners two-hand turn once around

Longways Duple Proper: Each section takes four measures of three counts,
or twelve counts.

A1: 1. Ones lead between Twos and cast up to place
      2. Men lead between women and cast back to place
A2: 3. Twos lead up between Ones and cast down to place
      4. Women lead between men and cast back to place.

B1: 5. First man set forward to second woman (who does not set),
           turn single (right) back to place.
      6. First woman the same with second man.

B2: 7. Circle four half-way and fall back in lines, progressed improper
      8. Partners set forward and change places passing right shoulder.

Longways, Triple time 
Each section consists of 12 counts (4 bars of the music) – Count to 6 ten times.

A1  first man turns second woman right and backs clockwise round second man to place. (Long lingering look).
A2  first woman turns second man left and backs counter clockwise round second woman to place.
B1 All fall back six, and forward to places, turning single on last three steps.
B2 Circular hey three changes, partners facing, finishing in line facing up, first couple in middle.
B3 All lead up in line three steps and fall back three steps; all lead up again, second couple stay in first place,  while first couple cast down.

B: Men's back ring; turn corner woman (sk.s.).
Women's back ring; turn partners.

A: Side; set and turn single. Repeat.

B: Men skip round clockwise in front of woman on left,
behind the next and come up beside her;
women into the centre, and out turning single.
Men complete the circle as before;
women into the centre, and out turning single.

A: Arm right; set and turn single. Arm left; set and turn single.

B: Men turn woman on left (sk.s.), then the next, etc. to places.
(Women stand your ground and do not meet the men half way.)

C1 second man hey with ones, starting by passing first woman by the RIGHT

C2 second woman hey with ones, start passing first man by the LEFT
End hey with ones casting down, twos leading up (last four counts)

        Couple one and second woman circle three hands around counter-clockwise

Jack's Maggot

longways duple minor

A1: first man cuts between two ladies to start a right-shoulder hey for three
with the second lady. The ladies complete the hey while the man takes
a wide turn to get home.

A2: first lady cuts between the two men to start a left-shoulder hey with
the second man. As above, everyone ending at home.

B1: Right hand star (skipping or not), left hands back.

B2: Corners cross, circle half, cast, twos lead.
